Exercise

The good weather is returning (although the tame winter has made it seem like it never left) which means tennis is going to be returning as well. This is good news for me because I stick to the sport like white on rice.

Normally, I'd be getting back into shape thanks to the conditioning I had to do for the tennis team. While I don't miss doing laps around the tennis court, I do dread having to get back into shape on my own. In fact, I don't think I've ever exercised on my own--and if it wasn't for the tennis team, I probably would never have exercised!

So far I've done 90 push ups in 3 days (or 30 per day). Yeah, weak--I know, especially considering that healthy guys should be able to do 100 a day. Fortunately, this gives me something to work towards. I usually do 3 sets of 10 push ups. I think that's a good pace for myself except I'm dying by the third set...

I'll up my regimen as I get better. Hopefully I can add sit ups and maybe start jogging again.

...I really should take advantage of the fitness center across the street from my dorm--but let's face it, I can barely motivate myself to do push ups on the floor next to me.
